If you prefer even more action, there are many possibilities to try various water sports activities (such as water skiing, jet skiing, speedboat tours, banana boat and many more).
Internship Ibiza – Transport
Since Ibiza is a relatively small island, the ways are usually not far. Thus, the journey, no matter where and with which means of transport, is never very long. In order to get to know the island in all its diversity, one can make use of different possibilities:
The bus network in Ibiza (Ibiza Bus) is inexpensive, very well extended and runs regularly during the day from 7 to 22 o’clock. Between the bigger cities and popular holiday resorts as well as some beaches you can get easily back and forth every 30 minutes. At night, a so-called discobus runs until 6 o’clock in the morning so that all those partying can get around safely.
All year round ferries leave for mainland Spain and the neighboring island of Mallorca. The port is located in Ibiza town.
Daily, smaller ferries (water taxis) travel along the coasts of the island, connecting different places with each other.
For the trip to Formentera, you can choose from a variety of providers, all operating between the ports of Ibiza Town and La Savina on Formentera.
If you are travelling in a group (3-4 persons), you can also use taxis, as these are relatively cheap and undoubtedly the most comfortable option. The price per kilometer is approx. € 1.09 during day or € 1.33 during night as well as on weekends and public holidays, plus a basic charge of approx. € 3.65. Fares are calculated by a taximeter (be careful with unofficial, illegal taxis – you might get a bad deal here).
As everywhere else, there is always the option to organise a rental car, as long as you meet the requirements (age, duration of driving license, etc.)
