Spanish courses before your hotel placement

¿Hablas Español? The Spanish Work Exchange Programme organises Spanish courses according to your desire.

The Spanish courses we offer are optional and not compulsory for participation in our programme; even if you just have basic Spanish skills you are not obliged to participate. However, it is a big advantage to start your training with basic Spanish skills, so that you can converse with your colleagues. Should you have no or just little Spanish knowledge, we recommend a 4-weeks intensive Spanish course as preparation for your stay abroad.

Generally speaking: If you can spend the time and money, you should attend a Spanish course in preparation to your practical training! Our partner language schools are situated in the most important Spanish cities.

The island of Tenerife

Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands, lies 300 km west of Africa. Because of its location in the Atlantic Ocean we have here the year-round a mild climate. Even in the winter, temperatures up to 22 º C will be reached.

Symbol of the island is the volcano Teide, which is with its 3,700 m height also the highest mountain in Spain. From its summit one can see the whole island and if it is a clear day also the other Canary Islands.

The island offers something for everyone. While in the south long beaches invite you to stay, the green north of Tenerife offers nature lovers great hiking opportunities. In addition, there are several national and theme parks, zoos and even ancient pyramids, so in Tenerife no one can get bored.

Also, night owls will love Tenerife. Many bars, clubs and discos whether in the north or in the south of the island will put everyone in party mood.

Our partner language school on Tenerife

Our partner Spanish school is located in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife's second largest tourist city. It's a setting full of lush gardens perfect for strolling, along with plazas and promenades with open-air spots for drinking and eating. The greatest attraction in Puerto de la Cruz is Lago Martianez, a group of seawater pools conceived by local artist Cesar Manrique, where bathers can enjoy the sun, water and beautiful surrounding gardens.

A small, familiar school with the capacity for 170 students, our partner school in Tenerife is perfect for beach and sun lovers looking to learn Spanish in an intimate setting.

Location: In the city of Puerto de la Cruz, northern Tenerife, 5 minute walk from the Martianez Beach, 2 minute walk from the "Lagos Martianez".
